At Hal Leonard Europe we have a passion for making music. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from lifelong music-making and to be able to have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and sing. We strongly support music industry and music organisation groups who continue to lobby for music education to be a formal part of every school’s curriculum, enriching lives and helping to develop life-changing opportunities for young people. We are proud to support and participate in community music-making and learning projects, enabling music-making and creativity for anyone, crossing all musical genres and musical cultures.
Youth Music Awards
Youth Music is the UK’s biggest music charity. It funds over 350 projects across England every year, reaching young music makers from early years through to age 25, representing a huge range of styles, ensembles and ways of making music. The charity’s mission is for inclusive excellence, believing that every young person should have the opportunity to participate and achieve in music regardless of their background or circumstances. The projects they support are driven by the positive impact that music can have on young people, many of whom are facing a range of challenges in their lives.
Hal Leonard Europe is the principal sponsor of the Youth Music Awards. The annual event celebrates a more diverse future of music, platforming emerging talent and leaders who might face barriers into the industries because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through.
